20 Crew Members from Mayuree Naree Return Safely to Thailand
Twenty Thai crew members from the ship Mayuree Naree have safely returned to Thailand after their vessel was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz. They arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 6:00 a.m. on March 16 after a journey of more than 10 hours.
Help from Governments and Company
Their return was made possible through cooperation between the Thai government, the Omani government, and the ship’s owner, Precious Shipping Public Company Limited (PSL). Officials from the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the crew at the airport, along with representatives from PSL.
Crew Taken to Rest
After arriving, the crew members declined to speak with the media and immediately boarded a bus that took them to a hotel to rest.
Health and Welfare Support
PSL arranged welfare support for the crew to help them recover after the incident.
Three Crew Members Still Missing
Efforts are still underway to locate and assist three remaining crew members. Thailand’s Foreign Minister, Sihasak Phuangketkeow, spoke directly with his Iranian counterpart on March 16 to request urgent assistance. PSL stated that finding the remaining three crew members is their top priority.
