Fire and Explosion at Police Armoury in Surin
What Happened
On 24 February 2026, at around 7:30 pm, a fire and explosion broke out at an ammunition storage facility belonging to the Border Patrol Police Division 21.
The armoury is located along the Surin bypass road in Surin Province, in Mueang District.
The explosion reportedly began inside a building used to store ammunition. After the initial blast, smaller explosions were heard as the fire spread within the storage area.
Emergency Response
After receiving the report, the Royal Thai Army quickly stepped in to assist.
