🏁 2026 Thai MotoGP at Buriram – Everything You Need to Know!
The 2026 MotoGP season kicks off at the Thai MotoGP at Chang International Circuit, Buriram from 27 February – 1 March. Expect heat, high drama, and maybe even a little rain to spice things up.
🔥 What’s the Story So Far?
Last weekend’s pre-season test gave us plenty to talk about. Marco Bezzecchi topped the timesheets, just ahead of fellow Aprilia rider Ai Ogura. Reigning champion Marc Marquez and Ducati teammate Francesco Bagnaia were close behind, with Alex Marquez completing the top five.
But here’s the twist: last year’s Buriram test top five exactly matched the final championship order. Marc Marquez then went on to take a perfect double win from pole position. Testing form = race form? We’re about to find out.
This year hasn’t been quite as smooth for Marquez, with three crashes in testing and recent shoulder injuries. Meanwhile:
- Ducati and Aprilia look closely matched.
- Pedro Acosta leads the KTM challenge.
- Joan Mir kept Honda inside the top ten.
- Jack Miller was Yamaha’s best in 16th as the new V4 faces a tough debut.
- Weather forecasts suggest rain could shake things up.
